Knowledge is power.

I will arm you with the knowledge you need to knock anxiety down a peg.

The primary modalities I use the most:

  • Cognitive Behavioral Therapy.

Anxiety, in part, occurs due to unhelpful or distorted ways of thinking and learned patterns of unhelpful behaviors. By forming new thought patterns and implementing new behaviors patterns, feelings will change.

  • Exposure and Response Prevention.

Anxiety, in part, is us seeking control in a world that cannot be controlled. When we engage in avoidance or safety seeking behavior we convince our minds that these behaviors are useful, are protective, etc. We will rewrite that within EXRP, by creating a manageable plan to systematically challenge those learned behaviors one step at a time with you at the helm.

  • Mindfulness Practice.

Mindfulness practice brings awareness to what you are feeling without interpretation or judgement. Breath work and guided imagery will support in increasing your ability to slow down, to be intentional, and build self-acceptance.

  • Brainspotting.

Eye position is utilized to tap into the subcortical brain.

"Where you look affects how you feel." -David Grand, PhD.

I will support you in locating a brain spot. Within brain spotting, you may speak as little or as much as you like. Deep processing occurs within brain spotting.
