What is brainspotting?

What can you expect?

Dr. David Grand discovered “Where you look affects how you feel.”

The subcortical brain organizes itself through eye position.

I will ask you to come to session with a pre-determined topic you would like to process. We will tap into what you notice within your body as you engage in processing. Bilateral music will play. I will hold up a pointer and ask you to follow it until I- or you- find a brain spot. You will hold your gaze on the brain spot and engage in processing. You do not need to speak aloud, but some find it natural within processing to do so. I will be completely attuned to you, facilitating your process. As the session comes to a close, I will lower my pointer and I will support you in reflecting on the experience.

It is an impactful experience. I have been trained in Phase 1 Brainspotting. Having both facilitated and experienced it myself, I highly recommend giving it a shot.
